The City of Rochester Parks & Recreation Department shares details on several options for outdoor aquatics this summer. This includes two outdoor pools, as well as two beaches.
Daily Fees for Pools:
- Youth (2-17) - $5.00
- Adult (18+) - $6.00
- Under Age 2 - FREE
There is also an option to purchase 10 youth/adult tickets for a cost of $40.00. A season pass, which can be purchased via the Rochester Swim Club website, is $80 for an individual or $300 for a family. Both pools are available for pool parties and private rentals.
Soldiers Field Pool (244 Soldiers Field Drive SW) is scheduled to open Saturday, June 4 at 12:00 p.m. Soldiers Field Pool hours for open swimming will be 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. seven days a week. It will close for the season on August 28, 2022. Lifeguards are on duty at the pool during open swim hours.
Silver Lake Pool (840 7th Street SE) was scheduled to open on Monday, June 6 at 12:00 p.m. However, Silver Lake Pool experienced a vandalism incident last week and the main drain cover was destroyed. The replacement part will take a few weeks to be received and installed. It is anticipated that the pool will open in early July. Silver Lake Pool hours for open swimming will be 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM seven days a week. It will be open through August 14, 2022. Lifeguards are on duty at the pool during open swim hours.
Foster-Arend Beach (4051 River Road NE) is now open for the season. Beach hours will be 12:00-8:00 p.m. seven days a week through Labor Day. There is no admission charge at the beach and NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY.
Cascade Lake Beach (88 23rd Avenue SW) is now open for the season. Beach hours will be 6:00 a.m. through dusk seven days a week through Labor Day. There is no admission charge at the beach and NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY.
