Intro Text
Riverside Concerts presents the Rochester Concert Band under the direction of guest conductor Mark Woeste performing a concert in tribute to the anniversary of our country’s independence at the Silver Lake Park soccer field. The concert is FREE to the public and will precede the fireworks display. Brought to you by Riverside Concerts and the Rochester Parks and Recreation Department. This annual event celebrates the rich and diverse talent of our community, commemorates the anniversary of our country’s independence with patriotic favorites, both old and new, and is the overture to one of the finest fireworks displays in the area. From Broadway hits to patriotic classics, with a dash of classical thrown in for good measure, the band offers up a little something for everyone; with a few surprises. Nothing says “summer” like a band concert in the park.
