Dental Amalgam Program

The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Dental Rule became effective on July 14, 2017. The Dental Rule consists of pretreatment standards aimed at reducing discharges of mercury from dental offices into wastewater treatment plants. Dental facilities can be a source of mercury due to the use of mercury-containing dental amalgam fittings.

Participation

The City of Rochester has a form for dental offices required to comply with the EPA's Dental Rule. Please see the link below for a copy of the form.
