Rochester Police Department conducted a proactive undercover operation targeting online offenders attempting to solicit minors to commit sexual acts which resulted in the arrest of Joseph Peter Solak, age 48, Rochester. 

Officers arrested Solak on November 1 following an 11-week investigation. The investigation found he used someone else’s persona and photo and exchanged messages with an investigator posing as a juvenile female.

Solak faces the following felony charges:

• Solicit Child or Believe to be a Child Through Electronic Communication to Engage in Sexual Conduct
• Engage in Electronic Communication Relating or Describing Sexual Conduct with Child
• Solicit Child to Engage in Sexual Conduct-Prohibited Act
• Stalking - Aggravated Violations - By False Impersonation
