Forestry crews continue storm clean-up

Post Date:05/30/2024 10:53 AM

May 30, 2024 – ROCHESTER, MINN. – Teammates from the Parks & Recreation Department continue clean-up activities after the multiple weather events last week. The Forestry Division thanks the public for their patience as they continue to work through the long list of service requests.

With over 350 requests for service, Forestry teammates are conducting tree work based on priority. Crews will address threats to safety and travel first. Limbs down in the boulevard or parklands that do not block the street or sidewalk are a lower priority and will be handled after high-priority trees have been addressed.

Damaged/downed trees located on private property are the responsibility of property owners. Residents are reminded that tree work should be done by licensed tree contractors. An updated list of all licensed tree companies is available on the city’s website.

The boulevard is not to be used for storage of private property tree debris.
