THURSDAYS ON FIRST & THIRD - WK #9

PEACE PLAZA STAGE:
5PM:
The Homestead Act
7PM: Les Poules à Colin

Taking their name from a popular traditional song, Les Poules à Colin are a new take on an age-old recipe: five childhood friends who still live on the same street, sharing a history of music-making and family ties. Les Poules are a dynamic and creative group turning heads wherever they go. Exposed to Québécois and other folk music from the moment they were hatched, these offspring of trad musicians were bathed in music, whether backstage at an international festival or at a lively kitchen jam in Lanaudière, arguably Quebec’s most musical region. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.

1ST AVE. STAGE:
5PM: The Weathered Heads
7PM:
Suite
Suite is all about having a good time and keeping the dancefloor moving. Bringing music from the classic funk-soul era to modern hits, Suite has a live energy that cannot be denied. Based in Rochester, Minnesota, Suite brings a fun and invigorating vibe to every show they play.Formed in 2013 following the suggestion of a fortune cookie, Suite quickly became the favorite band of every person named Winston Howard in Southeastern Minnesota. Suite and their fans don't tend to take themselves too seriously, because a good time needs a super-cerial bummer as much as a pigeon needs a dumbell.
