Lucius were scheduled to perform at last year’s series, but had their show cut short by the threat of severe weather. Doing their best to make it up to a handful of hearty audience members who stuck around even after the show had been called, the fan-friendly members of Lucius played an impromptu, “unplugged”, and off-stage set even as the raindrops began to multiply...in what became one of the most memorable moments of the 2015 season. And now…They’re back!! With slots at Bonnaroo, Newport, and Lollapalooza; appearances on Conan, Ellen and Colbert; and a sold out date at First Avenue to kick off their latest tour; The Current's Chart Show Hall of Famers LUCIUS are on the frontline of indie music royalty.

Lucius is a triple-threat of vocal harmonies, infectious hooks, and dance-inducing percussion, citing Bjork, Bowie, Warhol and Prince as style icons in a package The Guardian calls “the missing link between Arcade Fire and Haim” with a dash of B52s for good measure. Tracks like "Born Again Teen", “Turn It Around”, “Don’t Just Sit There”, "Something About You", “Go Home”, “Tempest”, and “Hey Doreen” are paving the band’s way to the forefront of indie-pop.
Haley Bonar: Haley Bonar had already recorded an album as a teenager before leaving Rapid City, SD for Duluth, MN where she immediately recorded again. Alan Sparhawk heard her at a local Iron Range club one night and a week later, she was transformed from a college student to an ambitious dropout with her guitar and a drummer crammed into a Honda Civic opening for Low. She was nineteen years old. In the last decade, Haley has released eight more recordings to critical acclaim and mounting success. She writes genuine, epochal and poetic tales that feel like our heartbreak, failure, frustration and joy. In a clear, insistent and often haunting voice, she tells real stories back to us, as if they were our own.
