Cascade Lake Community Celebration

The Parks & Recreation Department, Rochester Public Library and Rochester Civic Music will join other City departments and community partners for a Cascade Lake Community Celebration on September 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Cascade Lake Park (88 23rd Ave SW). This free event will highlight the new park amenities and offer a variety of programmed activities for community members to enjoy.

The Cascade Lake Community Celebration will start at 11:00 a.m. and feature active and passive programming. There will be a brief formal program at 11:15 a.m. at the amphitheater, which will include a formal dedication of the space to late former Rochester Mayor Charles “Chuck” Canfield. 

Other programming will include live music, the Bookmobile, Pedal Party and bingo activity with We Bike Rochester, an art activity with the Rochester Art Center, local food and beverage vendors and more.  In addition, the Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department and other city departments will have activities throughout the day as well.
