With local food vendors and craft beer, 4th Fest is a fun-filled celebration for the entire family!

Food trucks (Jersey Jo's Philly Cheesesteaks and More, The Wandering Scoop, Infuzn Foods, Taco Lab, Whiskey Dick's, & Minne’SNO’da Shave Ice) will be on-site!

Rochester Community Band - 6:15 PM - Patriotic classics and concert band favorites from this 60-member concert band whose membership ranges from teenagers to musicians in their 80s. Under the direction of Anthony Boldt, the Rochester Community Band’s mission is to provide an opportunity for life-long musical expression and enjoyment by providing quality and challenging musical experiences for its members, while educating, and entertaining family.

Rochester Civic Music presents 4th Fest, Rochester's Official 4th of July Celebration! All are welcome and encouraged to attend this annual FREE community celebration which takes place in Soldiers Field Park near the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial, featuring a diverse lineup of musical offerings from near and far, a poetry recitation from Rochester's Poet Laureate, and FOOD TRUCKS, all leading up to the main attraction ... FIREWORKS! The festival takes place in an open-to-the-public City park, so lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome.

Presented by the City of Rochester’s music department, Rochester Civic Music, in partnership with Rochester Parks & Recreation, the Rochester Fire Department, and the Rochester Police Department.

Virtual Pet Parade

The Virtual Pet Parade is a pet-friendly way to include your animal companions in the 4th of July festivities. The parade is a video slideshow that will be played on a jumbo video screen and accompanied by music.

To include your animal companion (or companions!) in the 4th of July parade, please email their photo to publicmusic@rochestermn.gov by Wednesday, June 26, and include “Virtual Pet Parade” in the subject line.

If you’d like your pet’s name displayed, please include their name in the body of the email or directly on the photo. You can submit a photo of your pet in patriotic gear, a fun costume, or just being their adorable selves!

Weather Policy

The event will take place outdoors. In the case of threatening weather, parts of the event may be delayed, postponed, or, as a last resort, cancelled.

For weather related updates the day of the event, please check our event updates page or social media accounts.

If the fireworks are cancelled due to weather, they may be rescheduled for the following day. There is no rain date for the other elements of 4th Fest; music and food trucks will not be rescheduled for the July 5 rain date.
